Hi, I’m Sharon and I’m the owner and manager of Inspiring Strength in Women.
My fitness journey began back in 2004 when I found myself turning 40 and I was totally out of shape! I’d spent the previous 15 years raising my kids and working hard in my family business – I didn’t realise how much I had been neglecting myself! It was only when I won a trip to New York (yes, “won”, but that’s another story) that it occurred to me I could die on the plane with DVT if I didn’t do something about my health and fitness!
So I started dieting …. soups, shakes, keto, intermittent fasting, basically starving myself … and still no results! So off I went to the Gym, where I felt so self-conscious and out of my comfort zone – it was awful! I would first hop on the treadmill for 5 or 10 minutes, then move to the exercise bike, then get bored and fed up there too. After 20 or so minutes I’d tell myself that’s enough and head home, hoping that would be good enough to get me the results I was looking for. Sadly, still not much change.
It wasn’t until I discovered resistance training with weights that I finally saw some results and watched my body change. I learned that when you train with weights you not only improve your strength and tone your body, but your metabolism speeds up and starts burning loads of calories – even while you sleep!

The rest is history, but for me there was no turning back – I had found my calling! I wanted to dedicate my life to helping other women, just like me, discover the benefits of resistance training and inspire them to transform, not only their bodies, but their confidence and lifestyles too.
Since then I have also gained qualifications in mindset training – Hypnotherapy, NLP and Time Line Therapy – Yoga too, all of these things complement each other and have helped to form my very unique service for my clients.
There is so much more to fitness than a slim and toned body shape. I want to help you have more energy and vitality, eat better, sleep better, feel better and really get the most out of your every single day!
